Mikey, experience tells me that the cheapest is not always the one I want. I remember researching the fingers several months ago and there was a distinct difference between ebay fingers and industrial strength fingers sold at the whizbang website for example. Don't remember the details but it was pretty clear to me that I would spend a little bit more for much better quality (I suppose these will get knocked around some) fingers. BTW there are instruction to build a little widget

to install them. Are we looking at having a plucker builder party at my house?

Definitely a plucker building party - but I would be glad to host it!

As Gallo says, "Big boy toys" galore!

Gallo - did you bury and digging predator protection beneath you cinder block / concrete foundation? I'm going to have a 3' wide brick path on the outside edge of the coop and was wondering if I needed it. I've got a roll of 20" wide chain link that I was going to put down if I do.

Meg Moringa Seed!!!

I think we killd-ed them!

Planted 2 weeks ago & no sprouting.

Walt just unburied one and no sprouting at all. He's using the paper towel method now with it but I've little hope.

Sadness abounds

On the coop part of the apron I inserted the wire in between the bottom plate of the coop and the cinder blocks and then bent it down 90 degrees and then bent it back to go flat just below the surface of the soil (I think it was something like 8-12" below the surface). Your brick path might do the trick alone depending on how tightly the bricks are set and how heavy they are. Do you think a coyote or stray dog could dig the bricks out? How much extra work would it be to put the wire down underneath the bricks?

tracy

that kitty is seriously CUTE CUTE CUTE! my mom is the ultimate CAT LADY, you know the one who likes cats better than people and sometimes even her grandchildren

i would think about coming and getting it for her, but then i'd have to hear about the cat FOREVER just like her other cats. selfish of me? yes, but less cats in her house would be better for my highly allergic 5 year old. plus, she just might pay attention to the kids when they come over instead of her cats

Yes I make the hair clips. It just started out for my girls and then I got way out of control..like all my hobbies. I go to a few craft fairs and sell them to support the habit. I made some headbands too. I should list them on the auction page, but I haven't got around to it.

Did you see the Guinea pigs there too? We even saw them showing them. It was pretty funny. Next year we want to go longer and with more cash. We let the girls go on two rides and that was $20 because the baby needed a adult with here. YIKES!

I am glad your kids didn't think I was an old chicken lady...I feel like it sometimes!!!

Clip picts please...

Here's a much cheaper source and it's industrial, too:

I could probably compete with you. After building a house we looked at the workshop and thought we should open a tool rental place

. The better half is into fixing old (like really really old) cars. Too greasy for me.
And I have to admit that I like it here so much that it will take a lot of horse power to make me go somewhere else on weekends

. Maybe we have a teleconferencing plucker building party?

Thanks for the link! These are the ones I am looking at. They are more expensive than the ebay ones but I think it's worth it.
