I'm glad that you saw improvement. They are really nice people. The polish cross was probably mine--when we went to get feed on Friday I took in several birds that she had asked for; with the weather cooling off, people are starting to purchase them again.

Tupperware with holes drilled in it. Maybe I'll just take the lid off.

The adult beetles can fly, just so ya know.....

I didn't think they could. I've never seen one fly and when I raised mealworms in High School for the salamander

we didn't have a lid on it

Darkling Beetles cannot fly. I don't lid mine or it gets too damp in there. I like to give them a lot of veg, if I lid the thing (DH did while I was gone) it quickly gets nasty and unhealthy.

I'm back, been super busy and a little disorganized. Hopelessly behind, anybody have the short version of whats going on?

Are there different types? Or have they now developed a flightless version?

The ones we raised for our reptiles as a kid could fly short distance and had wings under the shell.... My mom would get really mad when we forgot to cover the dishpan we kept them in as they would be all over the house.....
