I will try and get a good still picture soon. They are outside now and are so active they're harder to photograph!

Those two are just too cute! I loved their little crows. My dog came running into the room when she heard them on the video.

Question(s)

Does anyone here use Flax in their feed?

If so how much and how much is too much as I have heard it can affect egg flavor?

Just looking to add some Omega3 to our eggs.

Any input will be welcome!

[Most hatcheries pen blue, black and splash together, and tell you that regardless of which of these three colours you order, you can get them. (Although with some breeds they have only blacks, not blue or splash--so for that breed you will always get black). If you want to be CERTAIN which colour you get, purchase from a breeder or older birds. What breed are you looking for?]


SS, I want a splash hen and a red hen.Silkies. I just like to have colored birds. All the colors are so pretty. I think I may send for 5 blues and see what I get.
My aguarium eggs all died early.

No surprise there I guess. I am still waiting to see if the eggs Cotton is sitting on will hatch. They will be due next week.
My mini incubator has maybe two that look like they will hatch. This weekend I hope! I am taking that incubator back to the store! I just need to find a better one! I have noticed there is a mini that cost about $80 that takes 10 eggs and is air controlled. I have to save up for it. In the meantime I have a ad in craigslist to see if anyone has a good used one.

oh no, no more cornish? i knew this day would come. see, you post pics and i get attached. who says byc is cheep therapy? i need to go to therapy now! too many roos, should be pullets, kids are upset, twins bday tomorrow, so much to do, not nearly enough time.
