Three fingers onto of the head like a roosters comb and then strut sideways a few steps?

Had a good moving day today, moved an 8X10 coop, a smaller former rabbit hutch (4X10) 20 some odd ducks, all but 2 of the remaining roosters and hens, all the potted plants and trees, and misc stuff. Hope to get all but the big coop out of the back yard, (will have to take it apart and move in pieces) tomorrow. It feels good to actually SEE some progress. This has been going on for WAY too long! ! ! Did I mention that my back is killing me?

Glad to hear you can see some daylight at the end of the tunnel Bob, moving is a chore for sure....

Good grief! 100 and what degrees a week and a half ago, and FROST on the roof this morning!?! My thermometer says it's 43 degrees, but that is definitely frost. Now I have to worry about all the plants I left out in the yard yesterday at the new house.

sooooo, we celebrated the twins bday yesterday with a HUGE bash at our house. we had 27 kiddos show up for our backyard karaoke party(hee hee, the fireman behind us was OFF duty yesterday!). the noise level was insane! these little second graders had 4 mics going while my fireman and his sis played djs, complete with a stage and dance floor(thank you CL). i spent the morning making 6 dozen cupcakes of 3 different flavors(from duckie eggies, thanks BH) and i have maybe 7 left. i can't believe they ate that many. the girls ripped into their presents like it was christmas and i have a feeling most of the thankyous will say, "thankyou for the fabulous gift! i am so glad you could celebrate my birthday with me." with that many kids ripping into presents all at once and their friends helping them, i had no idea what end was up! but boy, did they get quite the haul. their parents were quite generous.

so we'll see if my poor hens are stressed to the max and won't lay for the rest of the week or will they demand to listen to "all the single ladies" all day long

Pastrymama, sorry, I forgot to wrap the eggs as presents.

Happy BDay to the twins. Sounds like they had fun. I have more eggs if you have room for them. I'm supposed to be coming that way Monday.
p.s. can we have my kid's parties at your house?? I'm WAY too unmotivated to go to that much effort for their parties.

ANd don't have near enough alcohol to deal with that many kids at once. Maybe once upon a time, but now??

Good morning Noel and happy birthday to the twins!

We had about a dozen loud Harleys here last year with rock and roll and all the other stuff us biker folk tend to do at a small noisy party and next day was a huge day for the hens, lots of eggs.

You may get a load of eggs today...

Guess they like an occasional hootenanny.....
