Arizona Chickens

Hi Everyone! Introduced myself on the main forum..Now I thought I'd drop in and say hi to everyone from Arizona too!

I live out in New River and am Over run with CHICKS lol! My eggs started hatching on Sunday (during the freezing rain storm we had out here), and my Broody hens try as they might couldn't fit all their eggs under their bums..so I snatched them all up, and threw them in the incubator..now I have a carpet of CHICKS in my garage

My chickens are already stars so they can show all the chicken actors the ropes (see video in sig line).

Wait, I thought my Banties were the stars. They're the ones laying ten eggs a day!

plus, they do tricks, they perch on my arm and shoulder like a parrot, well, maybe more like a parrotlet. And, one even jumps on my back when I bend down and climbs up to my shoulder that way.

Ha one of my peahens jumped on my back the other day went I bent over to give them some food. I obviously couldn't reach it because my body doesn't work like that. So I stood up really slowly & let her slide a bit then she jumped off when she saw the mac & cheese

My chicks have it all figured out. Their coop is short so I can't stand up in there. When I go in to feed them I have to watch my back, literally. They'll jump up on my back and stay just out of reach and I can't stand up to get them off. My daughter and I have to go together so we can help each other remove the chick barnacles before exiting the coop.

Memphis - Do you know about these folks? And is $55 the going rate for a Serama?

Seramas on CL

I don't know these guys, but have seen there adds on craigslist as well. It just depends on the quality. I know the lady that i get some of mine from paid $200=$300 for a rooster once. Not me....my luck it would get eaten by a snake or a feral cat!!
