You should get an Egyptian. Very loud. Very, very loud. You will know it when they lay an egg. And so will your neighbors!

I have a feeling the Egyptians and Buttercups will be the next in line for broodiness. They've got that "look" when they sit on the nest.

The neighbors wouldn't care. I can discern at least 2 different crows coming from next door - maybe three but I'm not sure. The red crowing over hear limits it to about 8 - 10 at sunup and then quits & go back to being his cowardly self.

The big roo next door (the size of a pony!) crows constantly!

Wish I had one that loud!

Want a rose combed barred rock? (he is NOT a dominique; he's half rock and half who knows what--probably silkie cross). I warn you though, he is an escape artist who likes to hop the fence.

Thanks but no.

I've talked myself into buying only straight run chicks and will be placing an order when the hatcheries start hatching their rare breeds.

I'm unfortunately going to have to cull my own because I've only room for a dozen or so.

Unless we start the meaties again - then one of the little junque sheds (that's french for junk

) I inherited when I bought the lot next door is going to turn into another coop (Shhhhh! don't tell the control tower!)

Me three.
I'd have roos and w/bw wheatons and bunnies and goats for milk and water features and get into all sorts of wonderful trouble.

And Lions!

And Tigers!

And Bears!

Oh my!

OK, I should be out opening up all the coops, but I don't want to. It snowed all night, and is still snowing this morning. Chores that normally take me thirty to forty-five minutes has doubled now that we have been getting so much snow.

I am not complaining cause' I know we need it, but I can't wait for this spring.

Well, wish me luck! Going to go put my snow gear on.

Maybe one day I'll be able to keep something green alive...

Aside from algae in the fish tank...

I keep offering you my African Sumacs. I'm telling you, they cannot be killed!

Oooooo Mikey, success with a built in price!
