Pastry, I could not find any hot pink shirts so you're going to blend in with the rest of us.

The colors are all pretty close except for the half sleeve Navy.

Heather sapphire
Turquoise
Indigo blue

I was leaning towards black ink which would show up well on the lighter colors but not on the navy.

Possibly yellow ink???

And NO! You can't have sparkly ink!!!

After 24 hours of observation, I really think "crusty" just has a corneal abrasion. (s)He is shaking his head and trying to "clean" the right eye, which is affected. The other eye is perfectly normal today. Very little drainage, and, although it was stuck shut this morning, it has been fine the rest of the day. He has no coughing/sneezing, or runny nose. I'll keep him (her?) in with warm compresses and the abx water for a few more days, but if everything is ok, (s)he's back outside. So far everyone else is just fine.

Good news!!

Hahahahaha! I just looked this up to find the styles to which you referred!

You thought I was talking about you! Hahaha!

Someone else had asked for the 2 tanks and one ladies styles in a PM & I hadn't even looked at the styles you posted. I just figured I'd look them up when I ordered.

Wow! I sounded like an *****!

No hard feelings?

It takes more than that to hurt my feelings! We are all good. Besides who else is going to save snakes for you and vise versa who is going to drive my sorry butt to the poultry show on saturday with no kids to bother me for a few hours!!

Yellow may go well or orange and red are good. What image was used?? I can't wait to find out.

That is one super cute chick Mikey. Its got to be a hen. To cute to be roo.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a type of vine to grow around my run. I use a 6 x 14 chain link fence dog run as a run for my 4 chickens. I wanted to grow vines that will grow up the fencing. What vines would be good here in the valley that won't be poisonous or harmful if/when the chickens eat them. Thanks!

Grapes! They do well in our climate and once they become established, will very quickly grow to cover your fencing every spring before the heat of summer arrives. The chickens love the leaves too. Another suggestion is chayote (also known as vegetable squash, merliton). I don't think I've ever seen a faster growing vine. The leaves, squash and tubers are edible to chickens and humans alike and quite tasty too! They're perennial here and cheap--just pick one up at your local grocery store and stick it in the ground (well, there is some ground prep required). For a dollar you can have more vines than you know what to do with.

This week I built a new trellis that extends up over the top of the chicken coop. Hopefully, today or tomorrow I'll get to plant my new Black Monukka seedless grapevine. It will go on the north side of the coop (by the nest boxes) and grow over the top to help provide more shade to the coop.

Dubby14 and Fuzzybird, Harvey and Ivan are striking birds!

viejo loco, cute chick! I'm guessing roo by the thickness of the legs. Of course I'll qualify that by saying I don't know squat about sexing chicks.

Mikey, that chick pic is STUNNING! Congratulations on the new shipment too, hopefully that is one more sign that things are going to turn around for AZ chickens.
