Arizona Chickens

Awesome!!

We were there too, but somehow accidentally ended up buying 5 hens when we intentionally didn't bring enough cash, and didn't bring a carrier......

The phenomenon of chicken math was not thwarted

in fact, I think there was some sort of chicken math vortex over the fairgrounds today!!

......DH ran to the ATM, and the book sale next door had TONS of produce boxes.........they're small (1 serama, 2 lovely white modern games and 2 OE Creles) so that makes it different, right??

So despite our best intentions of hanging around, meeting folks, and leaving chicken-less, we left early and got our new ladies home instead. :) It was nice to meet you for like 5 seconds Laree!! Great group photo!

It was great to meet everyone today!

The seed box is ready to make it's move as well. Anyone want it? Send me a PM and I'll do my best to get it to you quick!

Also, chicken math...

After today at the show, I am thinking that I "NEED" an Australorp. I think we'll get settled in the coop with out now 7 (tomorrow 8) girls and then I'll be on the look out for one of these HUGE girls. What beauties. I could probably be persuaded to take in a frazzle, frizzle or silkie instead ) But only one more for me. Hubby is not too happy with me right now. He's pooped. Coop and run got done today when we went to the chicken show. Hubby is ready to be done with it. Went to Walmart and picked up a Concord Grape start and a Climbing Rose bush. Will take semi finished pictures of the coop and run tomorrow. Coop needs the white trim but is now fully functional and ready for egg laying.

Mikey...Thank you so much again for making the T's and Tanks. Your hard effort and work is much appreciated.

I LOVE all the pictures from the show! Mikey kept me entertained today by texting me pictures of the chickens. :)

I was getting so excited, planning a new coop for the new house, but I don't think it is going to happen. We purposely picked a house that had no HOA, but we got a "Declaration of Establishment of Conditions and Restrictions" from the title company today that has a list of neighborhood rules...

"No cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, horses, rabbits, poultry, or other livestock shall be kept or maintained upon said property. This paragraph shall not be construed, however, as prohibiting or in any manner interfering with the keeping of ordinary domestic pet animals upon said property."

We're supposed to close in a few weeks and I love the house... :-(
