Had to get my incubator clean out for this.................

12 Chinese Langshan
4 LF Partridge Wyandottes
16 Swedish Flower Hens
18 EE's

the quail eggs I got when I ordered the incubator are still in there. They should hatch in about a week but I'm not going to increase humidity. I don't want to endanger the chick eggs.



These are going to hatch in plenty of time for me to set a batch for the Easter Hatch

My husband really wants to get some EEs (that's right ladies and gents, I am infecting him with the same chicken fever I have!

) and I hear so much about chicks being sold as EEs but are not EEs at all! Anyone know a dependable place to buy true EE chicks?

Not that too many of you know me, or my wife. And you wont really get to know me, unless I share things right?... We are expecting our 3rd kid end of Sept this year.
That will make this 3 kids under 3 ... Our 2 goats should kid next month, and I have 5 Icelandics that just hatched today, and 8 more pipped. This will put me around 100 chickens. and going to get a calf next month as well.
Its going to be a busy house/farm pretty soon.

Have you been over at the Maran's or English Orpington threads? My head is reeling! And I would sure be hate to be between some of those people. Talk about passion about their breeds!!!

Thanks Mahonri! I am still learning the ropes when it comes to chickens. I try my best to do my research on topics before I ask them here (so much great info on BYC and the web!), but gosh darn it, sometimes it can get down right confusing and complex! I have a hard time wrapping my head around it all. Especially when a topic is heated and people have strong opinions on what is right and what is wrong in regards to chickens.

I just looked at them and OH NO. There are too many in there. They aren't moving!! It's been two hours, the turner should have moved some!

Thanks! I will have to give them a call and see if they have any! ..oh wow... Just put in google search for Superstition Feed and what happened with the co-owner (Tim Stevenson) came up. WOW! I am a cat lover to the core, I can't believe he brutally attacked the cat with a shovel! The police report says he did it at the feed store! My stomach has officially become violently ill. Any other places that might sell EEs?

Both of these feed stores will refer to the chicks as Ameracauna's but they are EE's.
