It's B&B Feed on Ironwood south west of the trail (Main St.) and they are really nice there. You would have to call and check to see if they have chicks at that time and what type.

QUACK-a-doodle-QUACK!
Finally! Someone got bit by the silkie bug. Way to go novaleigh!
On a sad note, I went out to my silkie coop yesterday morning and found my black silkie pullet dead it seemed for no reason. I have never had that happen before. I just did a mite/lice check when laree's post came out, but I regularly check them. Then this morning, another one down, lethargic, not dead. I picked her up and checked her over head to all her crazy toes. There they were, mites hiding on her poofy head and not that many. I made the 6 year old help me catch all the birds and eprinex every one of them. I hope I am not too late for this silkie. Tomorrow will be dusting all the babies and juvies, but I checked them and they were fine but I will take no chances. Coops will be cleaned and dusted. Ducklings are in the garage.
So these two are both broody. I had 3 eggs under the first one who went broody, and the second has been sitting on nothing. Today I checked and one has 2 eggs and the other has 1. So they split up the eggs. And they nest together. (they did that before splitting up the eggs, too) Will they raise the chicks together, too, or will they have to be separated?
