Mama Hen Chris: I hope your vet has an answer for you! Mrs. Kev, told me breeds...let's see, 2 CC Marans, 1 Blue Marans, 1 Black Orpington, and a possible Olive Egger. Sorry I won't have those BLR Wyandotte chicks for you.

Oh well, that's ok about the BLRW Petra. I would also like olive eggers in the future. Will see if Miss Gretchen goes broody. Then I will see if anyone here has chicks or eggs available for her.

Mama hen- I hope iris is OK! On a sad note by severally sissor beak one eye chick is starting to fade. It was worth a shot that is for sure.

Thanks! Sorry to hear about the little one. We sure do our best to take care of our chickies. Sometimes I guess they are wanted "upstairs" for a better life.

No Chumly only ended hooking up with the Black Orpington and now he found a new home with Memphis. I'm considering maybe incubating some of the upcoming eggs though. What do you get with a splash roo over a black hen? 50% blue and 50% black?

all blue....no blacks

Ended up with 14 little ones. 10 EO's 2 B/B/S Orps - look like both black 1 BC Marans 1 Araucana - not rumpless but looks like a tuft on one side

Ok I'm cross posting as I already posted a thread about this already.

Anyway what is the best roofing material for AZ Coops? My coop is 12 x 10 FT Slant Roof.

I trying to keep the cost down. With the ease of installment I'm leaning towards rolled roofing over shingles.

Suggestions please.

BTW I live in Gilbert
