Mama Hen Chris, this photo makes me crack up every time I see it.....our chickens can be so dramatic about everything (OMG Someone is THINKING about laying an EGG in the box I like....OMG there's FOOOD....OMG the Tall Chicken is SHOOING me away!!), so this photo makes me think of of a chick having a tantrum in the toy section at wal-mart

every time I see your pictures I am reminded that I obviously NEED a Real Camera

I dont know if its the weather but my ladies are drving me insane. They have never had a spring here since i moved to AZ from CA last fall, 7 weeks ago 3 of my silkies hatched out chicks, they all went broodie within the same week. Now 2 of the 3 are sitting again AND 4 of my layers of sitting, 2 ameraucana's,1 one SS and 1 lakenvelder. I dont have anywhere to move them to hatch. UGH!!!! I already have babies running all over the place.

Sounds like you have plenty of TV to watch. How fun!

Hi guys! I have just finished the new coop and the new ladies seem to like it! I'm new at raising chickens and thought that starting out with 1 year old layers would be the best way to start.
