Hey, I would say they are perfectly fine outside. I have my 6 week olds outside and they do fine. Love the babies. First time i have seen these three. Beautiful. =D I should be getting some blue/splash eggs in about 2 months or so. =D. I have 5 blue's atm and they are 9 or 10 weeks old. =D Oh and the partridge i hatched from you laid her first egg today.
Oh yes i need splash, blue paints ect lol addicted to silkies

I usually do the eggtopsy thing too....but most of the time I can't figure out what went wrong. If you want to hatch more, let me know. The wheaten Marans eggs are getting bigger and I am wanting to stick them with an Ameraucana roo to make some Olive Eggers. But, it will have to wait. Right now I am drowning in chicks, which of course means in a couple of months I will be drowning in roosters!!
I am happy with the 7 I have. If I get some hens I will be happier. Hope they all are hens but I know that's a fat chance. Be cool if someone came up with a tell the sex before a hatch then you could just get rid of the roo eggs. If I don't get enough hens I will relieve you of some of your EEs.

I may still have you hatch my serama eggs when I get them. I am so scared I am going to kill them!

That is an hysterical photo of the sun bathing chick!! I showed my husband Dan the photo and he laughed as well.

Our peeps are almost 6 weeks old and finally got to take ownership of their run and more importantly their coop!!!!!!! Dan made their ramp but has to do some adjustments today for them and adjust the door from the coop to the run too. This has been an interesting experience for us since we've never had chickens before.

Yesterday my favorite (Daisy Duke) flew up next to me while I sat in my chair reading a magazine...yep-she scared me flying up at me (first time she's done that)...after I settled down I looked at her and said "well, hello"...she stayed for a bit and I petted her...then she pooped on my shorts and flew away!! Now, come on.........:(

Forgive me for a quick brag, but I can't help myself. My daughter's high school just got ranked as the #1 high school in the nation by the Washington Post and the #5 high school in the nation by Newsweek!
