Hey everyone..... haven't posted much lately but have been keeping up for the most part.

Sorry to hear of all the injuries and losses and sending hugs to everyone who needs them!

We just put out 15 wk youngsters (3) in with our older flock of 5. We were very lucky and all went great. No fighting and they all went in the hen house together on the very first night. We let our older 5 out in the yard to free range and put the 3 new ones into the run alone to explore. They didn't move around much but when the older one came back in about 1 1/5 hours later everything was just fine.

Just wanted to share our good news..... now the wait is on for the younger ones to lay some eggs for us!!

Great! 3 eggs a day from 4 hens is really good. You have happy hens for sure!

Thanks AZ! Yea, I spoil the heck out of them and love spending time with my ladies! I think my sweet wife is getting jealous LOL!

Woo Hoo! My 4 ladies are laying! I"m averaging 3 eggs per day and I'm finally over a dozen now! I know this may not mean much, but I'm just so blown away that I have some great pets with enormous personality and it's great to get something back in return! What a reward!

That's terrific. How old are your girls and when did they start laying? I am impatiently waiting for my 22 week olds to lay. I get a dozen every other week from my two adults.

My 7 have only been giving me 3-4 a day for a week or so now.

I had a real heart to heart talk with them about freeloading.

Hi Been gone a few days but back now. Novaleigh so sorry for your loss. The thing that worries me is that this dog is a pit you said. It has tasted blood so now it will be a menace to another neighborhood! The dog needed to be put down! I am a dog lover and have a lot of experience in training and dog behavior and this dog is not done wrecking havoc. I hope no child gets hurt!
I have some trouble. My turkey BlueBell is not looking to good lately. Her eye is about the same but she is not eagerly eating like she was and looks a bit ruff about the feathers. I am just keeping a close eye on her for now. How old is old for a turkey? I think Blue is 3 or better.

This seems not to be a good week for some of you. So sorry to hear you are gong through this. I will add my issue with my BO who is 21 months old. Seems after she molted months ago, I was finding lash eggs in the morning under where she roosted. She is going down hill and now I think she has egg perintinitis. Not sure what to do for her. She is losing feathers again. They are just dropping off her. She isn't eating as much as she used to, but will eat and drink some. She just sits and watches the other girls. Not sure what to do for her. My poor Daisy.

I got hatchage. =D 2 of the eggs that are hatching so far. =D 2 babies for 3 mama's so far. They all are talking like crazy to the babies. LOL

Well my 24 week old Light Brahma layed her first egg today

It weighed in at 1.555 ounces. It was a reddish brown color. Boy was she making a fuss squawking all day before laying that egg. So now 3 of my 4 are laying. Hopefully my Buff Brahma will follow suit soon. My 2 EE'ers have been laying now for 4 weeks now. They all 4 were hatched on the same day. I was beginning to think I had 2 free loaders living in my coop
