Arizona Chickens

Never saw a pidgeon with a comb on its head silly.

So all pigeons aside...

Exhibit A - the window in the coop/run that is left open through which the swamp cooled air from the house blows.

Exhibit B - the super deluxe mock up of the "cool air diverter" that is supposed to keep the cluckers cool during the day. Of course you cannot see in the still picture but all of the feathers on the floor of the area are now waving around in the cool breeze. I'm hoping that this will cool down the area the cluckers occupy during the day (near the floor rather than three feet off of the ground)

I figured I'd make it out of cardboard to see if it works before welding $50 worth of aluminum together.

Wadda ya think?

Is it worth it or am I just wack'n it?

Next topic:

Please meet Twisty.

She has just finished a snack of organic layer mash and forgot to wipe her beak.

She is appropriately name due to her cross beak.

I am concerned that the tip of her beak that doesn't meet the bottom is growing into a hook.

Is this something that should be trimmed or should I just let it take it's own overgrown twisted route?

And if it should be trimmed...how?

Suggestion for shade anywhere it's ungodly hot. Go to Home Depot (or ?) and buy canvas that they sell to painters. Depending on your situation, figure out how you need to use the canvas to produce the shade you need. I think you can put your own grommits in the canvas so you can put rope through them. I use this with my veggies. Tomas 6/05/'12 Gospel Birds

I'm soooooo sorry. This is a tragedy. The only thing you have to gain now is to learn something from it. And the rest of us from your experience. I hope you make the neighbors pay to restock your birds. What did they say? It ain't the dog. It's the fugging owners. Tomas in Tucson

How in hell does this forum work? I post things and give replys.... and I rarely seem them. And when I do, they're in the middle of nowhere and not connected to what I replied to. They don't make sense. You people probably all think I'm mental and have unpredictable outbursts. (Well, that too!) Can someone help me out? Tomas Gospel Birds 6/05/12
