fuzzybird, why do you think that someone would purposefully leave that gate open? it sounds like there was a confrontation in there, have you made contact with that individual? sorry that the dogs got in and did that. check with the feed barn off the i-17 for some heritage turkeys.

Well our mallard never even laid an egg at all--oh, wait, Mr D was a drake

pics? yes, i have to get them off my phone. kind of a pain in the rump. so much easier to load on to FB. it's all sonoran silkies fault that i have all these ducks and silkies anyway. it's a good thing i don't have room for the ginormous exhibition barred rocks she has, i would have a few of those too. or do i?

Have you seen turkeys at the Feed Barn recently? I sure want to replace the types I lost.
If this was deliberate I KNOW who did it and it was in retaliation but it also could have been a accident but it was still the same person. No I haven't confronted the person. Make things worse I think.

That is terrrible! I am so sorry for your loss. I've got extra young turkeys, but I'm down in Tucson.

Oh thank you for the thought and I so would love to get the breeds I lost back. Expecially my royal palm tom. Wish you were closer!
Thanks to everyone. I have a hard time today. I keep tearing up. The pen looks so empty. Blue Bell is doing good! Poor tailless sweet old turkey girl!
