Arizona Chickens

Nope, MagicChicken.. Changed preferences, back and forth, and same results.. Flipped and flopped, with the same results.. I can't do multiquotes either.. I think I may need some help from the moderators.. Wonder who I can call.?. "Hey Culligan Man".. OOPS wrong guy, showing my age now.. My first computer was an abacus, and I have never gotten better... lol Will

Another welcome aboard to the newbies! Yes, I'm a newbie as well from Gilbert and the folks here are awesome! I've learned so much!

Quote: HOA covenants trump city ordinances. They are essentially a contract between the HOA and the homeowner. Any provision that is not illegal (such as discrimination based upon race, etc.) is enforceable, regardless of whether the city itself allows it. The HOA can be stricter than the city, but not more lenient. For example, the city can allow chickens, but the HOA does not have to. However, if the city disallows them, the HOA cannot override it. There are a lot of protections in Arizona from HOA abuse that are not present in other states. For example, the HOA cannot prevent you from flying an American flag, having solar panels on your roof, prevent you from having a satellite antenna. They cannot prevent you from parking on a public street, and even parking on an HOA owned street is protected in certain circumstances.

Sonoran Silkies, I have a feeling tho I am not getting anyone to answer me that Poppy is a hen. No rooster comb at all and I would think that by 18 weeks I should see a walnut starting. The comb looks like the hens. I may need one of those paint roosters. Can you send pictures? A friend of mine need to pick up her daughter in Tempe Sunday. Is that possible to get him that day and how much do you want for him? You can PM me or email. [email protected]
I had one "girl" who was well over 9 months old before I realized she was a "he." I don;t think people answered your posts because they were not certain. I know I am not.

Feel the space between the pubic bones. If they are close together and relatively firmly in place, that indicates boy. If wide apart and easy to move, that indicates girl. There are some where even this is not completely obvious.

Hi Will, I "reported" your post and asked one of the moderators to provide you with some help in getting quotes to appear. Hope it helps

Did you try changing to another web browser? Sometimes when I'm having problems doing something I switch and problem solved.

Thank you Suze.. Maybe they can pound some smarts into this thick old head.. Knowing me, it's probably something simple that I'm just not smart enough to figure out on my own ... lol Will

Easy Sherrie... This old sailor doesn't want to get in too deep just yet.. Remember, I said my first computer was an abacus, and I had trouble with that.. When you get as old as I am, you don't want to go too fast.. I think I'll let the moderators have a shot at helping me first..

I'm so old that I first sailed as the coxswain, (the man who pilots the boat) under a captain named Noah, aboard a ship called the Ark.. Now, we sailed for 40 days and 40 nights, and I still couldn't get that ship into port.. Finally ended up parking it on a mountain.. Not a good recommendation for some one to try changing browsers.. lol Will

Maybe time to heave-to and figure out the computer some before it gets too frustrating for you .... I used to sail a little SF Bear boat on the bay :)

Does anyone have an extra Swedish Flower Hen roo? 3 eggs hatched for Easter Hatch and all girls. I think I might be willing to trade one of my girls for a nice boy and even deliver/pick up.
