Arizona Chickens

Hey Y'all!

I'm still looking for an Australorp breeder in Tucson. I need a fresh unrelated roo for my increasingly inbred flock.

Show-quality preferred, and I don't mind paying for quality. If you know of anyone, please pass on my email [email protected]

Thanks!!!

James Smith in Central ( right by Safford) has EXCELLENT australorps. Not just show quality, but show champion quality.

So you've had luck with this and your hens, Mikey? Definitely good to know!

There sure are some great deals on Craig's List right now. 4'x7' coop with 7 laying hens, feed and feeder, plus hay for $200. A selection of 3-month pullets for $15 each. A 9'x4' coop with swing door and nesting boxes for $199. 4 Bantam Cochins for $40, although they look like they need a major bath, which worries me.
That's a smoking deal if the coop is in good shape. Jump on it if you can!

Flood in Wittmann! The chickens are pretty good and have places to roost out of the water but the poor goats! The dogs had a ball running through the water!

Yeah!

What he said!

Just like that!

Sux to have to kill your own birds!

Picture yourself taking your pet out to a log in the backyard with a hatchet.

Sux...

Yeah, I've had to put several dogs down over the years. Not the most enjoyable thing around, but it's a necessary evil to keeping animals. My last Golden Retriever was with me for almost 8 years and was finally put down at the age of 14. He was the most gentle, kid loving dog I've ever met. He's sorely missed.

I would if I could, but the threats my wife is making right now... Kind of reminds me of that Country song about him having to choose between finishing and his wife... He went fishing...

I know that one....by Brad Paisley

Nice rain today..... not like the floods in Wittman and Mesa.... nice soft, constant rain.

Two new eggs today! I am not sure which pullets laid them, but I have two ladies who joined the "egg laying" club! YAY!!! They are just so cute and tiny
