Wow, what a night! The last of the BYCers just left. We had a fantastic time with such a wonderful group of people. I can't wait to do this again.![]()
O.K. If you haven't already heard, we're having a BYC pot-luck dinner at my house tomorrow at 6:30 pm. If the prospect of all the regular Tucson BYCers isn't enough to capture your interest, consider our special guests of honor, all the way from Apache Junction, Mikey D and The Control Tower! PM me for directions.
oh no Terri that is aweful ! Sounds like another storm has taken ahold of another one of your birds. Poor little turkey thats so sad, im sorryWe also had a loud lightning and thunderstorm show around midnight last night. Some rain but didn't seem a lot. When I went out to feed this morning I found my pretty Chocolate Palm, Royal with a compound fracture right at the wrist area. His foot was dangling and very large, in a lot of pain and shock. I had to put him down.He was so pretty and he was strutting his little Tom self and was so cute yesterday.![]()
Id give Lori a call and try out the chicken plucker if he continues to draw blood. Chicken n dumpling sounds good !That maran rooster has his days numbered now! He got my hand this afternoon while putting the frozen water jug down to help keep his little @#&@ cool and it was inches from my face!![]()
What does rooster taste like anyway? Is it stronger than hen? How best to cook it?
Its not that roosters taste any different but the older the chicken the tougher the meat. So crock pot is used more.So rooster are differant in taste. They don't taste as good roasted then?
I just saw that and was going to post on here. Here is what was on Facebook...
"This Silkie rooster needs a forever home. He is approximately 7 months old and lives in North Phoenix, Arizona (between Bell Rd and 40th St).
