Arizona Chickens

Quote: In the Bible (Old Testament) it says to pray at morning, midday, noon, afternoon, evening, night, cocks' crow and dawn. It indeed lists it as a separate time.
Interesting fact. Maybe crowing is a chickens way of saying "All is well" no matter what time it is?

I do not know if my gaining enough weight. The Americana's (23 days old) have doubled in the last 12 days. The Silver Lace Wyadottes, Buff Orpington (13 days old) have only put on an oz or so, the RIR (13 days old) has put on the most of the 4. Am I doing something wrong? Do Americana's grow faster? Should I supplement their chick feed with other goodies?

I don't have time to read this right now, but since it was pointed out to me, I thought I'd say hi real quick :) I'm in Az, west valley (near Peoria/Surprise/Sun City). Currently down to 2 ducks thanks to a coyote problem, but going to be getting chickens again very soon, probably some more ducks and another turkey.

Sorry about your ducks :( where are you planning on getting your chickens from? I'm in Phoenix, currently shopping around!
