Hey ~
I am glad to hear from you. I have found that forum folk are usually not Americun Bantum Association folk. ABA folk tend to look at me funny when I talk about pet chickens or indoor hens and they try really hard not to laugh in my face if I mention chicken diapers.
I am down to three hens now, one white silkie, one millefleur and one red hen that started out a frizzle but then smoothed out.
I take Fancie (the silkie) out regularly and we act as ambassadors for Chickens as Pets. We are currently working toward being Delta certified so we can be Pet Partners and can officially visit.
I would love to meet more people who enjoy their chickens as friends and not just barnyard fowl. I recently met a lady with a pet silkie rooster named Spike, and was recently contacted by a local girl who has this affliction.
Thanx for writing and I would encourage you to continue.
