Arkansas Blue egg layers

I'll be setting my incubator next week, and should be able to start shipping eggs shortly after. Just looking for confirmation from anyone wanting eggs.

I may be trimming my flock down after this year, so if you are interested now is the time to get them.

I hope you can get some more people raising them!

Today is set day for 40 AB eggs. Due to frequent snow-melt-snow episodes the run is a sticky mess, so it took longer than 10 days to get enough unsoiled eggs. We'll see how some of the early ones do in the incubator. I refuse to set dirty eggs.

That means that I am ready to start sending eggs out next week. I usually will ship on Monday, Tuesday, Friday or Saturday. If you have any reason not to get eggs soon please let me know. Otherwise I will send them out when I have a batch ready according to who asked first, and let you know when they ship.

After Getting busted by Animal Control last year, now roosters at my place. Hopefully one day I can move though

I candled over the weekend. Out of 40 eggs set there were 2 nonstarters, so fertility is good. I did have to pull 8 with blood rings, I'm not surprised because the weather here has been unusually cold, and we were still having below freezing temperatures well into April.

The 4 hens I have left from last year are still laying eggs into October! They each laid an egg yesterday.

They are amazing!
