We are soaked, soggy, drenched, water-logged, and otherwise overflowing with water here.
We had to cancel church tonight because the church flooded. While this has happened before...tonight...definitely not a good idea for people to be wading in water in the sanctuary.
Hubby has been busy all day trying to stop the inflow. :|
How are the rest of you Arkansans weathering Gustav?

Here in North Little Rock we are very soaked. There was a lot of roads flooded out in the entire Little Rock area. What was it 3 days of rain, felt like an eternity. Here at out house we measured a little over 12" of rain total from this storm (luckily we are on a high hill and don't ever have to worry about a flood at the house), on the news last night at 10pm they said it was already at 9" at the airport. There was also alot of wind and I have seen some damage around from that as well. Positive side is everything should green up really nice and we will have a beautiful fall color show this year all over the natural state:)

Thank you for the welcome, guys!

Yes, we got Gustav leftovers here too. I haven't been on, our satellite internet was off and on for the two days of rain.
But other than affecting the net, I absolutely love the rain, we need it to keep our pastures growing.

We're on a hillside, too, just the other side of Jacksonville. We don't get a lot of standing water, but BOY, have we had a mess of erosion. Tons of dirt washing down the hill and covering our driveway and leaving gaps beneath the fences. Ugh.

Too bad about that erosion. We have never had a problem with it, but we are right on top of the hill. What I am enjoying now is this cool sunny morning. Fall is in the air.

I'm in Paris, Arkansas
I love my chickens and I am proud of them.
I love to show them off to people if they want to look at them.
I'm new to chicken raising expect when mom and dad did it years ago. Never had to worry about what you gave to them then, why now?
If you live close by and want to look at my chickens or want to show yours off, let me know. I would love to see your chickens and your set up.

Anybody know where to get organic feed in Arkansas? I am not having any luck around here. I am in the Little Rock area, but I am willing to drive if I need to.

Thanks
