Arkansas folks speak up.........

Ya'll keep the weather reports coming. Had to go out with warm water a while ago and put in the hanging bucket with nipples. That was frozen. Put out little waterers so they would have fresh water. Still hoping the three cochins move into their new lil' coop tonight and stop sleeping outside!

Nutt'in like booten birds in after dark. We all have done it. Tonight might be the night they go in. Good luck.

Still lots of sleet.

By the time I got to my friends, it had started snowing. By the time I got to the Annex to feed sheep and kitties, it was starting to cover the road, kitties had no food, but the time I got back to the annex with the food, it was pretty slick, the sheep all had a layer of snow on their backs. At home now, two hours from my last post and the roads are covered and getting deeper, the yard is covered. I'm wondering how long it will be before the goat tent collapses. Guess I will have to see if I can knock some of the snow off the top of it. Have to go back over to the Annex shortly to carry water to the sheep.

We are not slated for as much as South Arkansas but I hope we at least get some. Have a tarp over the wire in the Cochin's corner. Will have to keep an eye on it....although maybe if it fell from the weight of the snow they would go in the lil' coop....hmmmm.

Was 26 up here just a while ago.

How pretty Jen.....and what a rustic building.....I love rustic. My coops are all made of tin from a barn that fell down. My DH asked did I want the rusty side out or the not rusted.....I chose rusty....love how it looks.

It's snowing pretty steadily here in Benton. Just started less than an hour ago. The "bad" roads are actually better, coz of the thinner pavement they are warmer so it's not sticking to them yet. Bridges are already very white though. Fortunately it's coming down as a light, fluffy SNOW, rather than sleet or freezing rain, so hopefully we won't loose power. Watered the chooks, they have a tarp over half of their pen so I may hafta shake the snow off it later, but it keeps them happier and drier. Put a tarp over the run portion of my chick tractor, mainly to keep the wind off them - it's really blowin out there!
The dogs think it's grand, but both of the indoor/outdoor cats thought it was horrible so they both came inside. hehehe
