Quote:
On New year's Eve, 1959, Wilbur and Fern Atwood left Marshall, Minnesota and headed for Enid, Oklahoma. They drove their old Ford pick-up through a blizzard in Nebraska and an ice storm in Kansas before arriving in Enid on New Year's Day, 1960. They came to start a new business, not because of demographics or market research, but because they liked the community and felt comfortable here.

Orpington hatching eggs available today only! We have donated 6 Blue/Black Orpington and 6 Buff Orpington hatching eggs to the silent auction at the Rison, Arkansas -1st Annual Backwoods Benefit Poultry Show March 3, 2012

So drop by the show today and place a bid on our hatching eggs. The eggs are there (though we will not be).

Back home from Rison poultry show. Did not see much for sale. Very nice birds and people were there. Whole flocks of smaller type chickens. Not many silkies were there to my dismay. From what i seen and had explained about show type, i certainly have show quality type silkies. Hopefully i can get NPIP inspected soon and show a few.

Did I see you? There are not many Silkies shown in the Arkansas shows. Actually, there were more in this show than I have seen at many over the last 3 years. You should definitely get started showing yours. It would be good to give the others some competition.

That was the most Silkies I've seen at the last 5 shows. You had better start getting ready for the Fall shows. LOL

I was at the Rison show, loved seeing all of those Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks and Geese. My Husband was bummed that there were no Turkeys for sale so I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted to. Jim I wanted to bid on your eggs but the ole fussbucket was ready to head home early.

Anyone know when Atwoods is opening in Monticello?

Michelle
