I'm looking for for advice/direction. I'm considering taking my daughter to the poultry show in Shawnee, OK in December, but I'm not sure what to expect or what to make sure we see and do. I really want a good learning experience for her. She's 9 y.o. and is wanting to show chickens. We've had a little flock for about a year and she's really wanting to show. Due to our crazy schedule, we missed all of the county fairs and such. Also, are there any shows in Arkansas coming up? I had rather stay in-state if possible. Thanks for any guidance you can give!

WARNING! Hawks are back in cleveland county! Just seen a small flock of hawks hanging around the pens. I guess if they hit the hot wire a couple times, they will leave.
I will Cujo out in a few minutes "my very aggressive Buff Orp roo". Maybe my security cameras will catch a good fight.

They are out in Franklin Co. too. My husband interrupted a low level attack as our girls were free ranging in the field. I never knew i would have to be a Chicken herder to protect them when they go play!

That is why I NEVER leave mine outside by themselves................my daughter would be sooooooooooooo crushed to see her babies flying away as dinner. We all stay outside while they are out of the coop...and I always have my pole at the ready to defend my birds at a moments notice!!! NO one messes with my flock!!
