Pulled 26 babies out of the hatcher today, 14 Polish-EE crosses and 12 NN-Brown Leghorn crosses.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I'm thinking about what breeds I'd like to keep after the move and was wondering if there are any good breeders of RC Brown Leghorns in the NW Arkansas area. I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks!

I don't know about rosecomb, but Jacob Bates has the best brown leghorns, he might know someone with RC.. He can be contacted through HOTOPA www.hotopa.com (heart of the ozarks poultry assn.) or on facebook

I plan on changing up my breeds in my Chicken flock from sexlinks and Austorlorps to Dominic and Buff Orpingtons these are an older breed of chickens and the Dominic breed is a Rose comb.
Both these breeds are a combo breed a egg layer and a Meat chicken.
Does any one here have first hand knowledge raising these breeds of Chickens.
Here are some Pictures of both breeds Hens and Roosters.

OMG! I am so tired. Finally caught a loose Japanese Hen! She can fly 8 feet in the air, from the house to the turkey pen about 50 feet away. It was crazy! I prefer my fat large fowl and frizzles. xD

Still haven't caught anything in the trap, yet.

NO JOKE! My daugther's chickens don't like to go back in the pen sometimes. We have to run around for 30+ at times! Her's will fly if motivated...

I don't have many that try to "fly". She has been the only one so far. My quail was easier to catch. xD The little rotten hen would fly up into a tree, or on the roof of the house.

Both breeds are wonderful!

Research both breeds. Hatchery stock will not look like the photos you posted. The largest Buff Orpington is of Imported stock and so far very expensive.

Check out the ALBC for more info on both http://albc-usa.org/cpl/wtchlist.html#chickens
