Arkansas folks speak up.........

Arkansas81, if you have Matt Gordon's contact info, would you mind sharing it? I am trying to find a few Silkies in central AR and can't seem to find any that aren't $50-$60 each.

I am also looking for Polish, Sultan, or other small breeds that would do well in a coop with Silkies, if anyone has any info on that.

There is a chicken propagator in Vilonia that sells silkies. I have seen a few of the chicks, and they will require work if you want to show them. chicks are $3+ each. I do not know this person. They advertise on craigslist.

I sell Great quality silkie hatching eggs, but rarely sell adult birds.

If you want quality silkies, you should pay the $50 each or spend years breeding them to standard.

ive bought from holly treat farms-she is in timbo, matt Gordon is on fb, under Arkansas, livestock, poultry group. I know holly will meet you, and I know matt does have routes he does every week, contact him and let him know what you want and he will bring with him to where he meets people. i'm in Batesville and he gets as close as Newport for me...but I know the last stop is searcy on route 3.

I know holly and matt have a lot of varieties of birds and other animals. they both are very nice, I got polish and silkies from holly. they have been healthy from day one...they are beautiful birds. I have a mixed layer flock and I will have chicks around the end of april, but I also have hatching eggs too. my layers are beautiful-wonderful layers. I am just starting to get into pure bred birds...so I will have more variety around Halloween..good luck!!

check out this bird hatched from my mixed flock. my turkey hatched it for me

pretty sure its cream brabanter mother with the barred rock rooster but i could certainly be wrong. there are about 20 different pure breeds of hens in that pen

Kinda looks like a gl laced polish to me. Mine looked a little like that, especially my bearded gl polish hen
