Arkansas folks speak up.........

so todays my birthday, and i woke up to a great suprise! went outside and found that last night a fox(s) came through and took 12, 3 month old chickens out of one of my pens. they left me 14 in that pen. ate all my spitzhaubens and a bunch of marans. im certain it were fox because of the looks and size of the hole under the wall. why they gotta take so many at once? wouldnt even have been mad if they took a couple. not happy, mostly about the spitzhaubens. oh well, atleast they didnt bother any of the other pens/coops. this is the first time i've lost more than 3 birds at a time in around 10 years. im sure they'll be back. ive got some work to do

Well happy birthday.
Set you a trap and catch that fox. If the hole was very big you are probably right about it being a fox. There are plenty of fox in this areea anyway.

Darn it! I'm sorry! We are currently building our first coop/run for our first set of chicks and keep going back and forth on how fortified to make it. It can be so costly to build.

Hello everyone!

Elias hope your power wasn't off too long and that the majority of your babies made it through.

We are getting a two new additions to our family but not of the feathered type. Two Llamas!

Anyone else in Arkansas have Llamas with their chickens? We are excited about our new additions. Building a catch pen for them right now and checking fences for breaks. Can't wait for our new adventure.

i have 6 heritage pure delaware hatching eggs...should be ready around thurs/fri

6 banties hatching eggs, they are pure in seperate pins but it is easier to get a good collection if i have several different ones together (silkies, oegb) ready around thrus/fri

6 asst pure ducks (runner, pekin, muscuvys) they are seperate, but it is easier to have good collection if i put several together

i can sell each breed seperatly or altogether.
delawares-$15.00

I have 5 Black Copper Marans roosters that I need to re-home. I'm in Ozark. If you are interested PM me. They are FREE to whoever wants them. I just have too many roos at the moment.
