If possible have a separate pen to quarantine new chickens in for a month or so. That way you don't risk infecting your whole flock if you do buy a chicken/chick that is sick.
 
EEs, Orpingtons, barred rocks, SLW, australorps, polish crested, RIRs, production reds, Cornish cross, speckled Sussex, and that's just off the top of my head.
 
I don't but got 6 EEs and 4 brown leghorns in late May and they all look great then got 6 more EEs and 2 buff Orpingtons in early September and they are also all healthy.
 
They had some a couple of weeks ago. You could call them and they would tell you. They are good people there. They get there chicks from Estes Hatchery:)
