I'm lucky, I guess. Minimum in TX is 2. I have three right now (bought two and got Nemo for free since she's desabled). I bought two others in case Nemo died, but I still thought she needed company. In any case, I bought her Wed, I think, and she's doing well. Good diet, a little swimming, Niacin, Probiotics, and Electrolytes. Perked her right up.

My lil ducklings are doing great put them in with my week old chicks:) last night I put a shallow pan of water in with them the baby ducks loved it but the chicks ran around like the sky was falling :-/ so let the ducklings splash around then removed it so the chicks would stop having mini strokes hahaha

Wish they would just huddle no these polish EE and one silkie chicks huddle make distress call then run back and forth passed the dish I put the dish back in empty this morn so they have pecked at it a few times lol its smooth in their right now but the ducks are going water crazy lol

LOL SPASTIC! I have noticed the shipped chicks are always more spastic than those home-hatched. Probably because of their "traumatic short life experiences."

I have a little plastic tub I fill with water and set out for my ducklings to play in. It's not very deep, but it gets them some exercise. My brooder isn't big enough for a small tray of water so we have to improvise. I need to find some pictures of different brooder set-ups so my husband can build me a good one. I have a large tub for 13 three week old chicks, a smaller tub for my half-week old ducklings, and a very tiny box for a temporary brooder for today's hatchlings. Most people use the tub, but with my three kids running around, it's easier to put them in a little container I can keep a close eye on every one.

Lol my inside brooder is a old aquarium I got for free when a et store went out of bussiness it has a large crack in glass and they were using it for a snake its 7 ft long by 3ft wide and deep and my brooder in coop is two shower doors connected in a L shape and fit in corner with 2x4 s and wire over it it measures 7ftx6ft and 2 nhalf ft tall I kinda rigged it up just to be make shift right now but it works and I've never dealt with shipped chicks these ducklings were shipped but tmrw I'm picking up some kahki Campbell duck eggs to hatch out so I'll get to see the difference in them
