Arkansas folks speak up.........

@Rayray, I meant for you too inbox me =)

@Ozark, I'm sure I saw him but I'm not sure what he had. I didn't need a rabbit right now, I already have a chin... If they had 6 mo old NZ I would have bought one... but I'd rather wait and buy an older one.

I just found out about the State List so this old thread is brand new to me. We're in Izard county (north central, close to MO) and have lived here full time for nearly five years. We lived in Tulsa, OK, for the previous 27 years so we're still learning how to live in the country. We've had chickens for almost two years now and haven't looked back. Looking forward to "meeting" you, my new neighbors and fellow chicken herders!

Our little flock: Buster, the BR rooster, BR hens Amelia, Bonnie, and Camille, and black stars Emma and Dominique. Oh, and a dog and two stray cats.

welcome to the Ozarks and too hobby farming, it wouldn't be so addictive if it wasn't so tasty

@Ozark, you pretty much have to be there BEFORE 7 to get the best animals, and definately before 9 for what you want (unless its an animal that almost no one else does want of course)

But I know some types of animals like quail and pigeons go fast!

Well, I went to Rison to a chicken show today. Enjoyed the outing.
Didn't find any bargains to bring home though. Would have loved to bring home some of those White Marans eggs though. The man didn't want to sell them though.

Got home and decided to take pictures of my Naked Neck rooster. Here he is:

He was a little nervous, he doesn't get handled too much.

It was a good show. A bunch of RIR for a fair price and a couple other birds in the show isle. At least this year it was not freezing cold.
