This time of year mine don’t go broody but I don’t know how often yours go broody. I’d think if you put them in the incubator you need to plan to brood them yourself. You could get lucky but I wouldn’t this time of year.

By the way, I think you sent your opossum problem to me. My mama hen was going nuts this morning and turns out a juvenile opossum had gotten into the coop. It got my one silkie last night but mama protected her babies well and all 6 are alive and well. Same can not be said for the opossum.
Thanks. Glad it was just one. It is sad when you see dead opossums and raccoons on the road and think - "there's one less bullet to waste".I hate to kill anything but have to protect the peeps.
