Yep, I know John Carter. He and I were in MBSF together at ASU. My DH knows Jay Jacobs as well. I just really know the name, don't know him too well. My Dh is Chad Graves, you may have heard of him from his preaching engagements. We're at Pauline MBC in Monticello.
I am looking for some buff silkies for my son. I would also like blue ones.
I'd love to go to the auction. Is it on the 3rd Sat? and where exactly?

Julie, I have some but they are pet only and only about 6 weeks old. The cock that I use had a single comb so some of the chicks do too. Next year I will not use him! Only wanted for some pullets for setting! I also set a silkie on some silkie/cochin and all have rose comb but not silkie so they will be good setter too I hope. De

Here are the directions to the Benton Auction

I didn't tell you where that auction was, coming from Benton or Malvern take the Hwy 70 exit going to Hot Springs. It's a few miles down hwy 70, when you see the dairy bar on the right the auction will be on the left. It's hard to turn, most of the time we have to go down a little and turn around.

It's the 3rd Sat of each month

From what I have heard - there is a little bit of everything. I talked to a guy yesterday that goes everytime. He said that the sell starts at 12 but if you want to look ahead of time then you need to get there about 11. He also said that they were really cheap and that it was about 4 before they got done with the poultry. He also said that they ran about 350 goat thru. They started out as a small sale barn and they just keep growing.

I can't wait to go Sat.

I have 5 little Cochin Bantam chicks that I want to sell. They are purebred cochins, black and white feathers coming in. They are 2 weeks old.
