Hello from Kansas City! My DH is from Harrison and we wish to return to his home state. We've been looking for our little slice of heaven in the NW. Hoping to close a deal soon and make our move in the spring. I just wanted to say howdy to future neighbors and friends.

I so understand. We set 8 eggs recently, our first. Of those six hatched this past weekend. I was so excited and surprised as they began hatching on day 19. I have two that have through tomorrow to do something or I will have to conclude they didn't make it. 75% hatch rate so far which I think was great considering my lack of experience and the fact that I did several things "wrong."

Black Jersey Giants, Easter Eggers, Naked Necks, Blue and Splash Marans, Crested Easter Egger (EE and Poish Cross), and a Project based on Red EE's (only the first cross so far).

Okay, I've heard of it but where is Pea Ridge, Arkansas?. I know Pea Ridge Kentucky.

Maybe that was where I've heard of it. History class (31 years out of schoool, makes you forget some things).
Probably passed it by the one time I went to Rogers.

Nice! I have a young flock of Blue Copper Marans, Ameraucanas and Foley bred BLR Wyandottes. Yes, Pea Ridge is just outside of the Rogers/ Bentonville area and it the site of the legendary Civil War battle. I ride my horses there and it is beautiful.

BCH, have you been to the Pea Ridge Battle reenactment yet? It’s in the spring, March I believe. I went a few years ago. Pretty nice if you like that sort of thing.
