Hello again Har!

Just got two Silkie eggs yesterday. Did you say your incubator wouldn't be vacant for a while? If that's so, I'll just put these under one of my broody hens. These can from my white bearded girl and my blue bearded girl.

My wife just saw that pic over my shoulder and said "those look just like our eggs!". I said they kinda are!

Glad they are all doing well. The blue polish frizzles look cool. Here is a pic from the breeder I got the eggs from:

Oh wow! How beautiful! Are you selling any? I'd like to have a couple. My 6 year old saw one similar, but it was a buff laced polish frizzle, in a magazine and wanted one. I hadn't been able to locate any close by.

The answer is a big YES! Even if 50% hatch we will have 6, not sure if all will be frizzled - not sure of the genetics on that. I know that they are bred with one parent smooth and one frizzled. Obviously not all will be blue, some will be splash and black. We will probably only be keeping 1 or 2 of them. You will be the first person I let know when we decide to part with the others.

I live outside of Conway, AR. I just bought 4 red sex link puttets, 1 rooster and 2 ducks of unknown breed. ( I was told the breed but promptly forgot in my excitement) I was worried about housing the chickens and ducks together but it seems to be working out fine. I would like some buff orphingtons that are old enough not to need a brooder. If anyone knows of any for sale please let me know. I would be willing to drive up to an hour from Conway. Thanks!!!
