Arkansas folks speak up.........

I am looking for a Cuckoo Maran Roo Close to the NWA region. If any one knows of one it would be great!!

Sure wish you were closer. I just bought 2 females, then a friend went to buy 2, and I told her to pick me up one more pullet. She handed it to me, and it's a little rooster! Banded as a pullet and all, but it's a roo! I really wanted to wait until I had a separate pen and run built to buy a roo, but... Oh well! He has just a couple of little feathers on his toes. Maybe he'll throw some feather legged chicks. Hes a little bugger, but he already stands "handsome and proud", lol!

Oh gosh, I'm all the way down in South Central Arkansas, close to Arkadelphia, which is about 30 minutes from Hot Springs if you know where that is.

Are your pullets feather legged? I like both kinds. My Wheatens are feather legged, but the grown Cuckoo Marans I have isn't. The 2 pullet chicks aren't either. This little roo must have been SUPPOSED to have feathered legs since he has a few, but maybe didn't get enough so they put him in the clean legged bin. Of course, that doesn't explain why he was in with the pullets! This isn't the first time it's happened to me though. I now have 3 Standard Cochin cockerels that had been banded as pullets. I got them for my rooster, lol! He's not going to be happy!

yea - Hey I will be coming to your next of the woods either next weekend or the one after that. My daughter's blk lab of 8 yrs passed away and we found someone in your area with a blk lab pup.

I love puppies. I wish they wouldn't grow up. Do you know anyone that wants some EE Bantams? I think I have a few from TSC. I was hoping they were OEGB. I bought six. Three of which I believe are EE. They have green legs. I might post some pics tomorrow. Just to see what others think.

I have hatched out some feathered leg cuckoo maran. I had one hen left from my Ray Valentine group that didn't get eaten. Her chicks are hatching feathered leg.

Amanda, I got a bulls eye in one of my quail eggs today so hopefully the eggs will start being fertile so I can hatch some. My neighbors are anxiously awaiting for me to hatch them some quail to eat.

Welcome all the newbies. There are a great group of people here.
