Hi Roche! Glad you found it.

I'm looking forward to these new chickys! Have yours hatched yet? I think I'm going to candle for the last time tonight and then leave them alone. Sunday I stop turning and there should be a party in my bator by Wednesday!

Where is the Argenta farmers market? The Conway Farmers market won't open til June. We haven't been able to get anything to grow. 2 wet. I replanted my garden for the 3rd time Wed. If these plants die from 2 much water I'm done for the year.

Well, the power outage and cooling off of my eggs doesn't seem to have effected the hatch at all. I have about 15 chicks now and more hatching. My Marans eggs were one day later, so they are just pipping today. I can't wait to see the little Marans chicks!!

Verycherry, What are you calling a silver cochin and do you have any pictures? I would like to see them...Thank you

This is a Silver Laced Cochin De, bantam size. I only have this female and a tiny male chick. I'd sure like to find more females, but I haven't found a breeder yet anywhere close by. Ideal has them, but I really don't need 25 chicks! I also don't need more males, and they only do straight run on bantams.

This pullet is older than the photo now and has filled out nicely. She's laying well, but she's in with my Sultan male at the moment since my SL cockerel is only a few weeks old. Sure wish he'd grow faster, lol!

What kind are these? They sure look healthy and strong.

What color of Marans are you hatching? I'm looking for Wheaten/Blue Wheaten. I only have a pair right now, and the female isn't laying yet. I can hardly wait until she does!

Thanks, chickytocks. No, they are Red Star chicks, second generation. In other words, a Red Star Roo and Red Star Hens are the parents.
