Arkansas folks speak up.........

I’m in Fayetteville AR and I’m looking for duckings I went to tractor supply and planned on getting 5 chickens and 2 ducks but the person said that you can’t mic them that you had to get 6 of each. So I’m looking for about 3 duckling.

I've got a bunch in the incubator, got a few supposed to hatch Sunday and the a bunch more in a couple of weeks. Want me to keep you posted on my hatch out?

I am in Redfield about 20 minutes south of Little Rock. I have Welsh Harlequin and Khaki Campbell Ducks, Lavender and BBS orphingtons, Bielefelder Kennhuhn, standard silver phoenix, and a coop of all different breeds (maran, australorp, heritage RIR). I have a bunch of silver phoenix and Welsh Harelequin ducks due to hatch this week. Duck pen we just finished and one incubator that currently has 130 eggs in it.

I live in Benton, so not terribly far from you. 😊

I've just started my first flock raising from chicks. There are 3 brabanter hens, 1 silkie rooster, and 4 australorps only one of which turned out to be a hen. 😩 Two of my lorp boys are listed on Craigslist but I haven't received any replies, but the plan is to get them out before anyone loses a patch of feathers or worse.

We only lost one chick out of nine that we raised. They're 2 months old now and look super healthy. Hopefully that means that I'm doing something right! I have dreams of maybe hatching a few replacements next year for the chick we lost and the roos we're going to have to rehome. Though my blind luck is a statistical 50/50 so far. 😂 Buying sexed chicks might be a more realistic approach since I don't have the heart to kill and eat anything I raised and most people don't seem to want extra roosters.
