Arkansas folks speak up.........

I have cuckoo marans that should be laying in about a month...3 pullets and 2 cockerals. Also I have BCM's in the bator from the Davis line.

My cuckoos are from Roche's birds. I know that she also has some BCM's growing out. Haven't seen her logged on in awhile though.

It would be nice to have a circle of Marans connections so that we could swap around a roo or two to keep our lines good.

My cuckoos are just layers as of now. One is laying already (I got her from Scot aka Jarhead), and the other 3 are at point of lay. I don't have a rooster for them, so I'm planning on using them just for the brown eggs...hopefully they'll be dark and I'll be able to add some more color to my egg cartons.

What I really need is more Wheaten and Blue Wheaten hens that lay a dark egg, and hardly anyone has those I guess. I noticed someone advertising some #4 Wheaten eggs just a few days ago on BYC, but I just filled my bator.

I just have the one pair (on my BYC page), a Wheaten hen, and a BW cockerel. The hen lays a solid 5 or a speckled 4. Never less than a 4, but she's slowing down for the year, and my male is just now getting fertile. I have two chicks at the moment, I THINK a boy and a girl, and a few eggs in the bator. Keep your fingers crossed for me that some are fertile and will hatch.

Hey I thought I would pop in and say HI!(or rather Hey Ya'll)

I have been lurking and thought it was time that I introduce myself! I live in Camden, and although I don't have any chickens yet I hope to have some soon!

I am new to chickens...

Hi, and welcome! I'm only about 30 minutes from you, close to Sparkman, and there are several others here from Camden.

Hey, we can hook you up with Chickens too. I have Easter Egger (blue and green egg layers) pairs and trios for sale, as well as a few other birds and chicks. I know there are several more people close to you with birds for sale.

Do you already have a coop ready? You can get lots of advise here and how to build and/or improve your coop and runs.

I'm in Camden too and there are about 5 others that I know of here. And I know any of us would be glad to give you any help, advice and will probably be able to get you a few birds when you're ready. Don't be affraid to ask.

Just took this picture of my bantam Blue Mille Fleur d'Uccle pullet and wanted to show her off. She even posed for me! She's one of my favorites. I can't wait until she (and my Golden Neck pullet) starts laying eggs.
