The green bucket is a little over 8" tall, just for reference. The snow is not as deep on this (south) side of the house.

We barley have an inch of snow. Hubby works for Frito Lay and got called into work. He had to go to Shrevport and then to Hope. Both towns were out of chips.

They were already born when we went out to feed , just wandering around with their mom in the snow. I' ve raised a lot of animals but these st. croix sheep are the hardiest i've ever seen. Colton tells me every year (I hope we dont have any triplets dad) we had a run of trips a couple of years ago and had to bottle feed a few. He got tired of feeding them lambs. That year we had so many triplets those lambs would suck any ewe that stood still , even had an anatolian shepard that had pups that would nurse the lambs.

I didn't bottle feed the smallest kid. I just held the doe while she nursed. She wouldn't nurse the third one by itself. But she would nurse the other two. It got tiring. I can see how a child would get sick of that.

Sorry I dont know anyone with showable females for sale.We only kept 2 females out of our female lines to show last year, the rest are in the brood pen's.I wouldnt worry about the male's sickles they should be fine. The females are really tough to show anyway.Especially this time of year.

We got just over 4 inches here in New Edinburg.
On January 21st my 7 month old Scovie Hen flew off and there's been no sign of her since. I had been outside with her and she was having fun flying way above our acreage and landing at my feet, I went in the house and came back out about 15 minutes later and she was gone. My other ducks were standing around acting normally, no feathers or sign of a predator anywhere so I'm assuming she flew off. I'm just wondering if any of my fellow Arkansans have had a sweet Blue Pied Scovie Hen show up at their place. Here's a photo of her taken a couple of weeks before she flew off:

Her name is Scooter if you see her. I'm hoping that if she isn't snuggled up with a Drake somewhere that she's safely snuggled up on a nest. I miss my Scooter girl so much
