Arkansas folks speak up.........

I believe that this is the only CAT plant in Arkansas. I have heard some reports that this plant is going to be expanding.
BTW, Arkansas has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. Also low cost of living compared to many areas.
Now if we could only get indoor plumbing and electricity

Out of curiousity, I had to look up homes for sale or rent, it is a bit higher than ours but more affordable if you live out in the country but due to jobs being outsourced, I'd rather rent than to buy.

Glad to hear that!

Hubby works on assembling road graders, the bowl and elevator parts for G & D so he has some experience. I hope CAT stick around long enough until hubby can retire in twenty years. He is going to be 50 next year.

I do not know if CAT here in Decatur and Peoria will be around too much longer but so far, they are buying land around the plant grounds, building more facilities...it would be awful for them to decide right then and there to pull up and head south.

Our pasture needs more than we got too. TV says we are still minus around 7 inches. 3 days of good slow rain wouldn't hurt my feelings.
