Arkansas folks speak up.........

I am done hatching for awhile too.
Speaking of hatching, I recently aquired a Sportsman for a very good price. It is an older one with plywood cabinet, not the press board. It is auto turn with three trays and a hatching tray. Humidifier kit. It has been lighty used and is in perfect condition and working order. I am going to upgrade it to the electronic themostat soon.
I am now looking for a hatcher if anyone has one.

I may try to build a hatcher.
Do y'all think the guts from a GQF 1588 can supply enough heat for a cabinet style hatcher?

Nope. You need something bigger. Have you considered an Incukit? http://incubatorwarehouse.com/225-watt-cabinet-incukit.html It would handle that size incubator/hatcher.

i am still hatching and will pro all year... tho i have cut way back from setting about 75 + eggs per week to maybe 1 or 2 dozen per week... i am mostly setting just the breeds that i have only a pair or trio of and am gonna set every egg they lay all year... i have about 250 chicks on the ground right now...
How many are still hatching chicks?

I'm not for now maybe start again in September.

Most of my hatching is already done, except for a few silkie eggs. I will turn to quail for a few months unless i come across some SQ chicken eggs i must have.

I am. I have German New Hampshire, Wheaten/Blue Wheaten, Blue Polish, MF D'Uccle, FBCM and s omething else but I forget. lol Should all be hatched by 1 July.
