Hello, everyone. Haven't been on in a while. My mother found a replacement for her burned jeep. And we got a tip the dogs were dropped off near sheridan.

I found a puppy that was dropped off at the end of my sister's road. The dog tore apart my Blue D'Uccle. Now I am missing 3 bantam chicks, my White and Black Tailed HEN, plus Pup went after my ROYAL PALM turkey. So I haven't really wanted to face anything chickens for a while. Looking for a new home for this puppy. If anyone has friends with no chickens that want a Black and White Pit? Puppy let me know! lol

That pup would have found a new (and permant) home as soon as he killed his first chicken if it were dumped off here.

Hey Pauletta!

Met a friend at Malvern, Arkansas Walmart Monday and picked up Jimmy's new Heritage Rhode Island Reds. 3 cockerels and 3 pullets. They hatched from FOGELLEY eggs from the Ricky Bates line.

We will do our best to help him become the best Red breeder in Arkansas...well at least south Arkansas!

Cell phones are not the best cameras!

Well good!! Has he fixed his coop so nothing can get to them? I know it was painful and I feel bad for him. It was heart breaking. Those are good looking chicken you have there! I'm sorry but these Ricky Bates chicken actually look better than some I have seen on the heritage thread. They really are developing out amazing. I love, love, love mine. I was going to take them to the Lonoke County fair but then I read were most people sell their chickens and do not bring them back from the fair, afraid of diseases. I am not chancing it, which is a shame because I think they are divine!

Here are some pics of mine. They should be laying this month. Look at the perfect color, body and tails! https://www.backyardchickens.com/gallery/album/view/id/6155628

The Ricky Bates line is quality for sure.

He is to have his coop predator proof before these go home with him.

This is why I haven't had to buy eggs at the store in about 2 months or more. I have a great life and great birds to give me these beautiful gifts. I also know at least what goes into my birds and now what goes into my family. This is just so awesome. This collectiom is geese and duck and chicken yippeee!! lol
