Arlo security camera Black Friday sale

My arlo cameras I always carry my cameras in the house and let them warm up for a couple hours before attempting to charge them.
So the batteries are 'built-in' as opposed to typical AAA and AA batteries one can pop out and replace?
 
We use Arlo cameras. We don’t have a subscription, but use it for live viewing. They stop working in cold weather at temps around 0° F and below.
Can you just plug them in if you have POWER in the coop?
or, do they only run off the battery?
 
Right, but they can be replaced - just a lot of tiny screws and a lack of ready replacement modules.
I haven’t had a reason to take one apart yet but if the need arises I’m not afraid to break any warranty void stickers. I don’t know if it’s as simple as removing screws and sliding a battery in or if it would be solder and glue sort or repair.

I have Arlo Pro 3 cameras so only can speak to them. They have easy to replace proprietary batteries. You pop the shell of the camera off with a button on the underside and pull the battery pack out. The white block in the pic is the battery.

The Pro 3's also ONLY connect to an Arlo base station that puts out its own proprietary WiFi signal. The base station is then connected to your home internet to be able to view videos anywhere.

What this means is if you have WiFi extenders for your home internet, that doesn't extend the cameras range. They are solely limited to the base station's range. And no, they don't make an extender for the Arlo signal and you can't seamlessly integrate another base station to extend their range.

Thus why I have the Arlo's for monitoring the front of our house and a different brand (Reolink) for the rear of the house and the chicken coop. I will not replace the Arlos with more Arlo's when they eventually fail. I'll replace them with more of the Reolinks I have at the back of the house.
