Boys have white on their heads, the girls dont. All these boys in this brooder makes it look like they are playing dominos, with all the spots on their heads....grrrr.....
Hi Kathy!
Must just be 'that time of year'.
Of my 10 chicks from your eggs, I have 2 'for sure' black girls, 1 'for sure' blue girl, 6 'for sure' blue and black barred boys, and 1 blue 'maybe' boy.
They are really cuties!

I am wondering this myself. I usually have mostly pullet hatches, and this last one, I think I have 1 pullet and 5 roos. Maybe if I am lucky there will be 2 pullets, but it is really looking like only 1. UGH!!!
Lisa, Im sorry you got so many boys...whats up with that anyway? Do you suppose that mother nature arranged for pullets to be born in the spring for some reason?
Oh gosh, Kathy! Don't be sorry! I'm so happy with them I could just squeal --- whether they are boys or girls
I can count the times on one hand (on 3 fingers actually), that I've had shipped eggs show 100% development and you should be proud of that.
Thumbs-up to Mr.B and the girls... and you.
