Arrowhead block swap

Another site

just throwing this out there, so if this is something we want to stay away from, I'm fine with that, so many of us are already on this one and some have finished it and some of us are doing the LW quilt along and we need a block swap,

any ideas?

Or we could do blocks that represent each state, so if you live in Ohio for instance you would do the Ohio star, for our friends over seas we would give them a choice of unassigned states, there is a block for all 50 states!!!

Ladies.......

I have an idea about another swap, how do you all feel about doing blocks that represent the stories of the Bible? I don't know what everyones faith is so I don't mean to offend anyone but They are called Bible Blocks, anyway check this out

I think that is a good idea! The quilt shop where I purchased my sewing machine had a Bible block of the month. They had the whole quilt pattern for sale after they had completed the whole thing. I didn't get in on it but was considering purchasing it, but haven't yet.

The state one would be fun also. I wonder if our friends out of the US have quilt blocks for their region.

I asked them and no they don't that is why they said they could be assigned an unoccupied US state. Maybe I could set up a poll, I will have to check into that, Bible blocks or State blocks

Anyone doing Row by Row this year? I'd love patterns from your state. I picked up one so far and I have to go get the one from Tiny Stitches, cause they have the "Big Chicken" here is the site check it out, big Atlanta land mark, the blacks of the eyes go around and the beak opens and closes, and when I worked for KFC as a General Manager I received a "Big Chicken" award, they are numbered and limited additions, so it's a big deal to get one anyway here is the link of info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Chicken

I will go and get some souvenirs, I don't go down that far, the traffic is horrible. but that is so Georgia.

I MIGHT be interested - it would depend on how busy I get this fall after the labyrinth quilt. I started a "Women of the Bible" study with a block of reach woman years ago and never finished it. It was by Carol Honderich. I still have the study sheets and the patterns (there are 52 blocks - each different) and I've thought about pulling it out, but just never have. One of my UFO's

I was giving you an extra 16 miles!!! Good luck I hope you have lots of fun!!!

I wish it was as easy as that. I'm signed up for my first marathon in January so I'll need those extra 16 then!

I can't imagine running in the Atlanta heat and humidity. It was bad enough on a trolley in savannah, lol.

I'm off to a start. Squaring up is a pain and no 11.5 ruler so I had to get creative, lol

Love love love the block - can hardly wait to get started on mine. As soon as I'm back from Atlanta I plan to get started. I had hoped these would be my first blocks in my new sewing room, but the heating and air guys scratched up the floor so it has to be replaced. That is going to set me back a week, so I'll just make these my last ones in the OLD sewing room

I will have to look this one up.

I thought you might like to see some of my latest quilts that I entered into our latest quilt show.

No I didn't quilt them - my skill is not at the level with my longarm that I wanted in these. They took quite a while to make - especially the biggest one. I probably have that out of my system now and won't do another one
