Honestly, I'm surprised that you haven't started a comic or something. Like, I remember the page you did with Damien talking to himself, and it looked really professional. I don't know how long it takes you to make your things, and I know from experience that my attention span isn't long enough to keep working on the same project, but maybe you could start taking some baby steps towards that?
Maybe try making comic pages or three-panels here and there. They don't have to coordinate, they just have to give you experience.
Also, I think it would be cool to have a visual of this poem, and Damien might be a nice char to use.
Just a thought, no pressure to actually do it.
