Hello Backyard Chickens Enthusiasts! I'm looking for some clear photos of baby chicks (healthy or unhealthy) to potentially print with an article I'm writing for Chickens magazine. If anyone would like to contribute some photos that will possibly print in a nationally circulated magazine, please send me a message. Photos will need a short caption that includes the breed of chicken in the photo and any relevant details. Thank you! Moira

Are you still wanting pics?

Hi Egg Snatcher,
No, I'm sorry, I had to turn in that article, so I've already sent in the photos I received. However, if you have any photos of chick belly buttons, I'm still looking for pictures to go with a previous article. I've had a really hard time finding anyone with photos I can use.
Thanks!
Moira

Hello Everyone,

Thank you so much to everyone who sent me photos of their cute little chicks!! I've submitted the article and a bunch of photos for the editor to consider for publication. After the magazine comes out, I'll send a PDF copy via email to anyone whose chicks made it in the magazine. I'll also share it with anyone else who would like to read the article. The article is scheduled to print in the March/April issues of Chickens magazine, on sale at most farm and ag supply stores and home improvement stores. Sometimes an article is bumped to a later issue, but this doesn't happen too often, so I'll probably be emailing the PDF late March.

I should have another assignment for Chickens in a few months and I may need some other chicken photos for it. Anyone who contributed photos for this article who would like to be added to my contact list for future photo contributions, please send me an email and let me know you'd like to be on my list. I'm also always looking for backyard chicken enthusiast for interviews on various topics. I use quotes from the interview (which is done over email not over the phone, because the quotes are more accurate that way) in an article. If anyone would like to be on my contact list as a potential interviewee, please send me an email for that too.

Right now, I am still looking for pictures of chick belly buttons. This article was written a while back but has been on hold due to lack of photos, so if anyone has any they'd like to share, please send them to my email or if you don't have my email send me a message and I'll give it to you. We're hoping to get photos of belly buttons that healed well and photos of belly buttons that has some sort of problem. Even better are pictures of belly button issues but the chick survived, so we can include a caption underneath the photo with details on what was done to fix the issue.

Thanks again everyone!! I hope they use a bunch of photos with the article, because I'd really like to see at least one of everyone's pictures make it into the magazine. :jumpy 🙂

some newly hatched brahma chicks, the last photo is one with a broken wing. her mom stepped on her.
