Thank you so much to everyone who responded with pictures of their adorable baby chicks!! My article is scheduled to print in the March/April 2020 issue of Chickens magazine. I'll be submitting photos for consideration to accompany this article this Monday. I probably won't know exactly what gets printed with the article until it comes out (unless my editor asks for more details about a certain photo before it can be printed). If the article gets bumped to a later issue or if I learn any more details, I'll post this information here. Chickens magazine is sold at at all the local feed mills, farm supply stores and home improvement stores that regularly sell magazines. Once I have a copy and get it scanned into a PDF, I will send a copy to everyone who sent me an email with their email address. Thanks again everyone!!!

This is Nutmeg, a barnyard mix(mom is an EE and dad is a Welsummer). Sadly, we lost her, two days ago, she was only two weeks old. But, this chick was the sweetest and quite photogenic! The other chick in the 2nd pic, is Nugget, another barnyard mix(mom Isa Brown, dad Welsummer). This one is a spunky little one too! Both were a week old, in these pics.
